Like that compact disc, this one also does not conform to the album's vinyl counterpart. This one offers Davis' second session complete and in recording order with two previously unissued alternate takes. The original tapes on all but the previously unissued selections are lost and we have spent considerable time improving and repairing the sound of the tapes with which we were left."
